Clients and Testimonials

"I owe a huge thank you to Rob for his help with my dog, Ringo. When we brought him home, Ringo started attacking one of my other dogs. He would go at her several times a day and was so quick he was hard to catch. Aggression was not an area I had planned to work in until it literally landed in my own back yard! Rob was the 4th trainer to work with Ringo and he got INSTANT and lasting results. He taught me so much about body language and timing. Thank you for all the off leash hikes and the training opportunities they have presented. Ringo is now so comfortable in a large pack (up to 17 dogs) that he is now teaching some of the rude dogs about manners!!  U ROCK U DOG"  Sheila Keddy, Profesisonal Dog Trainer

"One of the first things Rob told me after he had met my dogs was that the role of Leader was 'up for grabs' !! Well, that was hard to hear but he was right. My dogs were well-trained, well-mannered and well behaved, but something was missing and that was it. I didn't have complete control over them because they did not see me as their undisputed leader. So that was my challenge and I have been hard at it for a year now, reconditioning/training them. Now they watch me, they follow me, they listen to me and they do not ever squabble amongst themselves anymore because the role of Leader is no longer 'up for grabs'. I am so proud of them. I did a dozen or so walks with Rob, enjoyed every minutes of it and learned a lot. Rob was very supportive.  Body language is how I have changed my dogs and Rob helped me with that. I used to think it was all words (and cookies). Now I use very few words, very few cookies but a lot of body language and I have been thrilled with how I have been able to change/control/influence my dogs. I have read much on aggression, tried/used many strategies and spent countless hours retraining my dogs. I would love you to see how they have evolved from bossy and confused (about leadership) to submissive and eager to please."  Sincerely, Glenda

"We wanted our 5 year old German Shepherd, Ice, to be better socialized and more comfortable when encountering dogs on sidewalks and in off leash areas. I was given Rob's name, looked at the UDog website, saw photos of dogs on the hikes and knew this was what I wanted for Ice. After one home session with Rob and Cheryl, I was more confident in handling my dog around other dogs. The first hike was amazing - we came back in an hour and Ice had become part of the group, tail wagging and anxious to keep going. We join the hike every week and it's something we really look forward to. We're constantly learning and seeing how dogs communicate. Thanks, Rob and Cheryl, for training us and Ice." Pam and Joe

"Daisy Doodle loves her holidays with Cheryl - and I love them too because she comes home more rejuvenated - strong, outgling and obedient!"  Julie Hendereson, Saanich.

"In January my two Jack Russels stayed with Cheryl for 10 days. It was wonderful - not only did Cheryl send me a report with photographs while I was away, she also sent me a video of my two with a group of happy dogs on a hiing trail, barking and playing. It was reassuring to know that they wree happy while I was away. It made my holiday so much more relaxing. When I got home both dogs were in excellent condition. Gizmo is a rescue dog and usually shows severe signs of stress when he has been at the kennels; he sheds hair, loses his voice, sulks and loses weight. When he came home from Cheryl he was relaxed and unstressed, even the long wisps on his ears were still there! Kimba was vibrant and happy, in fact I think she was looking for Cheryl. Even though Cheryl lives in Duncan she made a plan to fetch the dogs in Victoria so distance was not a factor. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience of boarding my dogs with Cheryl. Kimba and I have also had some training sessions with Cheryl and found her methods to be down to earth and easy to maintain. She has helped me understand doggy logic and keep two hyperactive Jack Russels in line. I would most definitely refer my friends ot Cheryl."     Caren Powell

"When you go from a 17 1/2 year old dog to a young, rambunction puppy, life can be very stressful. Cheryl worked with me and my pup, Kodiak, to trnasform him into a well behaved, well mannered husky. She also taught me that so much is about training me! My relationship with my pup is so rewarding now. Thanks Cheryl - you are wonderful."

"I found myself unable to cope with my puppy Maddy; she would bark and show aggression to other dogs as well as people. I called U-dog and in just a few sessions with Cheryl and the pack, Maddy is no longer afraid of other dogs and has learned to interact well. The difference is amazing and their training is very effective. Thank you." Cathy and John Lewis
