Mountain Biking and your Dog

The level of exercise that dogs are capable of is sometime beyond comprehension. Our two legs are no match for an endorphin pumping four legged predator.

Our focus is turning to cycling in many aspects of our programs due to the ease of use and the techniques within the foundations of our training. Motion is the best way to catch the attention of a predatory species; Dogs watch bikes. We offer training programs for dog owners and are now offering group rides for dog toting Mountain Bikers. We will be doing both evening and weekend rides in small groups and would love to see you there.

NEED SOME TRAINING FIRSTt? Check out our Training Wheels program!!

Front view of bikeWe have gone far to bring legitimacy to our programs and have developed a relationship with Transition Bicycle Company and Oak Bay Bikes (Nanaimo) to help us with giving the programs an appeal and style that will attract progressive clients looking for the best. I recommend checking these both the shop and the manufactures website to see what they are about. great people that have done a lot for me. Thanks guys!!

The benefits of group rides will come in many forms. Once we establish your level of experience with your dog, we can carry forth a pace, protocol and riding area that we can all enjoy together. You will meet people of common interest, we will encounter different dogs, the dynamics involved and tune up our communication while we go. It's fun, informative and affordable.

How does it work?!

Mountain Biking We like to meet all our clients and go through skills and communication that will be needed for riding with a group. Meeting by appointment whether at the WorxYard on Bowen, your home or on the trail; It's important to gauge each handler and dog's abilities. We can offer training in these areas and keep in mind, we want to get you on the trails with your dog. Clarity and momentum will be the best approach to motivate both you and your dog. Once we are rolling, the fun won't stop.

Call us or drop an email to set your appointment. Space will be limited.

Schedule: Evening rides will be starting June 28 and will fall on the first and last Thursdays of the month at 7pm.

We will add new time to accommodate different skill levels. Like our group hikes, the pace will be set by the slowest riders. It about having fun developing relationships and skills with the dogs

Group Rides will be at a $25 drop in fee for the first 4 rides. After that, it's free. We want to get you riding safely and oriented to how we operate. Once we have a system going, it's easy for everyone.
