Skijoring

This really is a blast with the right conditions and terrain. Geared for cross country skiers, we use this same system for helping cover distance and time while accessing back-country terrain for ski touring and telemark downhill skiing.

Mt. Arrowsmith is a hidden gem stuck right in our face. I have lived on this mountain for two separate winters and can guide you to many areas with untouched powder and breathtaking views. I have worked as a professional skier for 8 years in teaching, ski patrol and hold local knowledge of Mt. Arrowsmith of intimate levels and hold Canadian Avalanche Association Level 1 Avalanche ticket.

I guide only one to two people and these are full day journeys. Starting from your first day where I will train you and your dog to pull on command and use developed dogs to show yours the way. We will also cover avalanche equipment use and recognizing avalanche hazard specific to this terrain. You must be an accomplished skier with some backcountry knowledge.

I do provide some extra gear for avalanche safety and this can also be found for rental at some local outdoors equipment retailers. This is a completely custom program and requires lead times and planning.

Call us for details on the 2007/2008 season.
